JESUS film showings

Every night, 1500 film teams show JESUS around the world. For most, it is the first time they hear the Gospel. For many, they decide to trust Christ and follow Him as a result. Over 210 million souls have accepted Christ as a result of watching JESUS.

How do we follow-up these new believers?

Sadly, over 2 BILLION people are without discipleship materials in a format they can understand . We desire to provide them with follow-up materials so they will be enabled to grow into the person that God desires them to be.

For several years, our field staff and pastors around the world have asked for a follow-up tool that they can use after the JESUS film, to ground new believers in their faith and teach biblical principles. We have the privilege of designing these tools and bringing them to our field staff, to equip the Body and help it grow.

We work closly with our international staff in each region, to ensure that the materials we produce will meet the felt needs of the new believers in the area. Our materials are biblically accurate and culturally authentic, to enable people in each region to hear and undertsand biblical principles, making them a part of their daily lives. We are producing video, audio and printed materials, to ensure that everyone who comes to faith can grow in their faith, regardless of their ability to read.

Our process - in more detail

We travel to each area and meet with our staff to determine their follow-up needs, what lessons they need most and what format would be best for their region. Many areas have requested a follow-up video, to be shown after the JESUS film.

Our role in The JESUS Film Project is to develop a three-pronged process for discipleship and church planting resources, that our international staff can use to help fulfill the Great Commission.

Phase 1 - Video

We are creating "Following JESUS"
A video-based discipleship course

•Video is powerful and speaks to their heart

•In response to our field staff's request — Lessons are designed in partnership with our field staff because they know what the needs are

•We are producing a different video series for each area of the world to address their specific needs

•Dramatized lessons – the lessons show people just like the viewer, what truly following Jesus looks like on a daily basis

•We use clips from JESUS to tie the two films togther, creating unity between the products. As they watch "Following JESUS" they remember the scenes from the JESUS film and learn how to apply the principles to their own lives.

•We are developing scripts for a 12 part video series for Africa. Our plan is to have a final scripts for Africa ready by the end of this year and would like to begin filming in January, 2009. The filming will take approximately 2 month to complete. We will be travelling to 2 regions in Africa, so the finished product will have a "Full Africa" feel to it.

•In addition, we are working with our field staff in Latin America and the Middle East to develop seperate products to meet their needs. Please pray for wisdom as we prepare for these projects.

Phase 2 - Audio

We are developing audio lessons in partnership with Faith Comes By Hearing, for several areas of the world. Faith Comes by Hearing is recording the New Testament into hundreds of languages and putting these recordings on a device called "The Proclaimer." This device is a solar powered audio device that never needs batteries and stores hundreds of hours of audio.

We are working in partnership with them, developing audio follow-up materials so that every village will have the entire New Testament and biblically-based basic follow-up lessons available to them, so they can hear and study God's Word and grow into a fruitful member of His Body.

Phase 3 - Printed

We are also producing correlating study materials for every video and audio lesson, so those who are literate can study further and pass on the information to their relatives and friends.

In addition, we are working with our field staff to develop written Bible studies that speak to the hearts of people in their area. We are using local phrases and cultural stories to create parables
that touch their hearts, just as Jesus did.
