Helping to give spirital direction to new believers around the world

Producer's News

India
In April, 2007 we held premieres of "Following JESUS" in 12 different cities through north India. Over 900 pastors attended and received copies of the video series for their ministries. Here is what we are hearing:

"Our Ministry Team has shown this follow-up CD in cities and village churches to new believers and non-Christians. This CD has helped them to strengthen the faith of village Christians and they are very much encouraged and motivated to witness for Christ to others.

By seeing this CD, 30 people
took water Baptism last month.

We have been working among tribal and illiterate people and this CD is very helpful and useful for this audience. We are encouraging our evangelists and new believers to show this CD among all needy people who do not know Jesus."

Africa
There will be 12- 30minute lessons, ranging from assurance of salvation to spiritual warefare.

We are field testing "assurance" throughout Africa and finalizing the scripts for the remaining lessons. We plan to film the rest of the videos in January 2009.

Middle East
In 2007, the JESUS Film released Magdalena: Released from Shame, the story of Jesus told from Mary Magdalene's viewpoint to show women in the Middle East that Jesus loves them. Two of Eric's teammates are working on a 12 part video series and an audio daily devotional to help women in the Middle East grow in their faith.

Latin America
We are beginning to work with a branch of Wycliffe Bible Translators on a version of "Following JESUS" for Latin America.

 Our Ministry

In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus commands us to make DISCIPLES of all nations, not to share our faith with them and leave them without training, instruction and guidance.

We believe that everyone who accepts the Gospel of Jesus Christ has a right to learn about His life, teachings and be shepherded in their new faith, learning what it means to truly be a disciple of Jesus, regardless of their ability to read.

Our role in the process

We are producing a video-based discipleship curriculum, called "Following JESUS" that will teach biblical principles and ground new believers in their faith. It will utilize pictures and clips from the JESUS film, making it a natural progression for people who have just seen JESUS and made a decision to follow Jesus Christ.

Each area of the world will have it's own version of Following Jesus that is custom designed to fit the specific needs of the area. We work in very close partnership with international staff and pastors in each area, to ensure the finished product will be Biblically accurate and culturally relevant.

In addition, we are producing correlating study guides so new believers who are able to read can learn on their own, begin to study God's Word and be transformed by it.

Our goal is to provide biblically based, culturally authentic discipleship materials in video, audio and print for every language of the world. This way, everyone, everywhere will be able to grow in their faith and become active members of the Body of Christ, using their gifts and bringing others into the Kingdom of God.
