Dear friend,

On September 8th Eric will fly back to India for another round of “Following JESUS” premieres This is the follow-up video series that he produced with our Indian staff. They have requested that he join them again, representing The JESUS Film Project as they tour central India, visiting another 8 cities. During this trip he will travel from city to city, show groups of pastors and ministry leaders the 5 videos, answer questions about them and train them how to plant indigenous churches using this tool.

Those who participated in thelast round of premieres in April are still excited about the videos and have used them with amazing results. As you’ll remember, we had over 600 pastors attend our meetings and are now using the tool to help clearly explain 5 important lessons:
1. God’s character, creation and the fall of man
2. Accepting Jesus as their ONLY God and Savior is the only way to restore their relationship with God     and spend eternity in Heaven
3. How to pray
4. How to live as a believer
5. How to share their new faith with others

Our Indian staff have translated the series into 9 languages so far, with a goal of about 50, enabling more people to hear these truths in a language and story format that they understand. Please pray for them as they continue this work.

Eric will be traveling through central India from September 8-17. We have included a printable prayer calendar on our website (available here)and ask that you would lift him and the team up daily. Please pray for safe travel, that they would be effective in their training and that God would be glorified through their work. Please pray that their efforts would lead to millions accepting Christ as their Savior, being trained in the faith, resulting in millions of churches planted throughout India.

Heading to Turkey

For millions of women, the world is an oppressive place where they are undervalued and regarded as possessions. Often, our teams are working in countries that cannot be disclosed for security reasons. Recently, our leadership in this area of the world asked The JESUS Film Project to help them develop a more effective way to reach out to these women. The emphasis was placed on sharing the Gospel with them in a way that resonates with them and how a man– Jesus– values and cares about them.

In addition, they want us to help them develop tools that will build up these women and equip them to live as fruitful members of Christ’s Body. Our discipleship team has been asked to travel to Istanbul, Turkey (in the western part of the country, see map) to attend a leadership conference that will bring ministry leaders from several countries together to discuss these needs and develop a strategy to make these dreams a reality. We will be leading an all day forum on developing discipleship tools and training for women in these areas.

Thankfully, Allison will also be able to participate! She, along with another couple from the team will be flying from Orlando to Turkey on September 17th. Meanwhile, Eric will be flying directly from India to Turkey where he will meet up with them. We are excited about going and being a part of this historic meeting. Please keep us all in your prayers. We have included prayer requests on the prayer calendar.
