Training Disciples in Nigeria, West Africa

Richard, one of our Nigerian staff recently wrote about how the Lord is moving throughout West Africa. Richard writes…

“We have seen amazing results with the Jesus film, and with the follow up program we designed in conjunction with Campus Crusade in Nigeria.
“Together these have proved an effective instrument used by God to bring many to Him and transitioned to the church as growing disciples.
“We are excited at what God may do in other regions. We believe this program can have equal result, God willing, because we believe we are doing what the heart of the Lord wants—to share the gospel and make disciples. We know discipleship is a life long process, something that is the responsibility of the church.
“Our desire is to get new believers started on that path so that they will not turn back in the first months of being a believer.
“The Jesus film is the instrument we used to present the gospel. And the people understand it very well in their own language and many respond. After they respond we have a program they follow to get them grounded a bit in their faith.
“Recently, 6,000 people responded to the film among the Afizere and last year we had 5,800 people in follow class in 120 villages using 52 volunteer workers.
“Any coordination from you or your team would be greatly appreciated. This kind of response, should it continue by God’s grace is a something a few people alone cannot handle.
“We would love to partner with you and your team in whatever ways we can and reach many of the Nigerians that don’t have a witness in their own language.”

This is so encouraging! This is the type of partnership we are currently working to develop all over Africa with the follow up video. By working with our African staff we can create more effective discipleship tools and strengthen the Body of Christ in Africa.

Please continue to pray for wisdom during the planning of our upcoming meeting in July in Kenya.

Allison's Health

Allison spoke with the nutritionist last week. The nutritionist was very positive and hopeful about her ability to help Allison with her condition. She would like to work with Allison. It would be a year long process of different diets and supplements as she first would help with getting her hormones in balance, then in cleansing the body and ridding it of cysts and endometriosis, and finally having it healed and ready to carry a baby.

We are still praying about the Lord’s direction in all of this. After checking into our insurance, we found that a nutritionist is not covered.This is common with most insurance. We are praying about whether to try to appeal it or not. We have been told it most likely will not be reversed.

Though the doors seem to be closing for this, we are still praying about what to do next! He is faithful!

Our Trip to Kenya, East Africa

Our trip to Kenya has been pushed back to the third week of July. Thankfully, the details are finally coming together for this meeting. We have 15 missionaries from all over Africa coming to plan the creation of the follow up video series for Africa.

As you can imagine, getting the schedules of 15 people from 10 countries to come together has been chal-lenging. But it will be worth it! The local staff is excited about the potential that this video has in building up strong warriors for Christ.

Please continue to keep the meeting and the planning in your prayers. Pray for safe travel for everyone and that everyone is able to get the necessary entry Visas.
