Praises:

We just found out that Vietnam has officially approve our adoption application!

(More to come next month)

Though Allison’s health is a concern, she feels good. We are thankful the mass is benign as are the spots on the liver.

That details and funding for the Africa follow-up videos are coming together.

That God showed his love toward us, in that, while we were sinners, Jesus died for us, making a way for us to be right with God. We truly don't deserve His love and grace, and are eternally grateful to Him.

Prayer Requests:

For Allison’s upcoming
surgery, and His healing touch on her body.

For wisdom for Eric as his team plans 2008 projects. May he do exactly as the Lord would have him do,
in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Verse of the month:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.” Prov. 3:5-8

Happy New Year!

TRIPS:
Forefront on Eric’s mind is the Africa follow-up video. Susan, the producer that Eric hired, has been living in South Africa for several months, working with him to prepare for production of the video. Originally Eric was hoping to begin filming of the new video series in February, but it has been pushed back to March while he works on perfecting the script. He will be spending two months in several areas of Africa during the filming.

After that, he will be going to India to start working on the next phase of the Indian video series, teaching more advanced lessons. We are not sure when and where he’ll be going after that, but will let you know as soon as we find out.

ADOPTION:
Thank you for continuing to pray for the adoption. We have just heard a formal acceptance from Vietnam’s government! Our case manager said we should be matched with a baby by the fall and can travel a couple of months later to get him or her. We are praying that we will have our bundle of joy by Christmas of next year, but we know that His timing is the absolute best.

ALLISON’S HEALTH:
Thank you for praying for Allison’s health. To review, on December 4th she had a colonoscopy to check on the mass that was found 2 years ago, and discovered it was still there. Thankfully it has not changed in size or shape and hasn’t spread. They also did a CT scan at that time and found that there were some spots on her liver that needed to be looked at with a MRI. We found out that the spots are benign, praise God!

On December 19th, a colorectal surgeon did another colonoscopy in hopes that he could remove the mass without doing surgery, but unfortunately, was not able to. He suggested performing a colon resection to remove the affected part of the colon.

The surgery will take place on January 24. We covet your prayers!! The surgery will take about 4 hours, and she will be in the hospital for 3-5 days. The recovery time is 4-6 weeks.

Please pray for all the medical staff attending her, that they would be able to remove all that needs to be removed, for courage & healing for Allison (and as little pain as possible!), and most of all that we will glorify Him. Please pray we will have opportunities to share the Gospel with those who do not know Him.

That’s a brief overview of what we are anticipating this year. We are praying that God moves in miraculous ways personally, with our health and the baby, and in ministry as we continue helping to disciple new believers. Thank you for being a special part of our lives!!

In His great love,

Eric and Allison
