Helping to give spirital direction to new believers around the world

Joshua

Wow! What a difference a phone call can make! The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of change and a wonderful time of bonding with our beautiful son.
Joshua is doing great. He is happy and healthy and seems to be growing and changing every day. We took him to the doctor last week and found out that he has grown 2 inches and gained almost 4 pounds!

We want to thank you for your prayers and encouragement over the last six weeks. We have felt so loved and cared for by our friends and partners. It has been amazing to see His Body work together, providing for every need that we have. We have received countless cards and emails, congratulating and encouraging us. Each note has meant so much to us. We are trying to get thank you notes out as fast as possible, but it is taking longer than we thought. We truly appreciate all of the cards, baby and monetary gifts we have received. Thank you!

Another recent blessing was attending Eric’s niece's wedding in south Florida. Almost his entire family was there—not an easy task since Eric is one of seven kids and there are 19 grandchildren now! It was a fun time of reconnecting and introducing Joshua to his family. We feel so blessed that the Lord allowed him to join our family in time to be a part of the wedding. He even got to wear his fist tux!

Around the Office

Following JESUS Africa: We are still in the midst of testing the video series, which is getting great feedback from our staff and partners. The plan is to review the feedback in October and prayerfully begin filming the remaining 11 episodes in January.
Middle East: Praise the Lord! We have found a script writer to develop the 12 video lessons for women in this region. We are beginning the process of pre-production and hope to film the video series in Egypt during the summer of 2009.
Following JESUS India: We are working with the Indian staff to complete the leader’s guide and hope to be involved with the Indian staff training later this year.
Allison: In her spare time (ha ha!) Allison is continuing to coach two couples and a single woman who have recently joined Campus Crusade on raising support. She hopes to continue to work part time on projects from home, once Joshua gets a little bigger.

Thank you for your role in our ministry. We are grateful your prayers and partnership.

August 2008

Praises:
That Joshua is healthy and
growing fast!

That the Lord continues to provide for our needs. He is SO faithful.

That the Lord brought a script writer for the Middle East follow-up project

Prayer Requests:
For wisdom as parents—
that we would reflect God’s
character in the way we
raise Joshua

That Joshua would continue to be healthy and grow into a strong man of God

For Eric’s team—for
continued wisdom and favor as they move forward with
several major projects in
Africa India and the Middle East.

For Allison—that her transition from full time work in the office to full time work at home would be smooth and she would sense God’s peace and blessing in her life

Verse for the month:
Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, they will not depart from it.
