For the positive response from Christian leaders in India about the premieres of “Following JESUS” —our video-based follow-up series

We have gotten information from a different adoption agency that does adoptions in Taiwan! We are very excited because Taiwan is an island off of China and the nationality of many of the babies is Chinese! Perhaps this is the Lord’s answer to the desire He has laid on our heart for a baby from China!

India Follow-up Video Premieres!

Dear Friend,

On Easter Sunday, Eric, along with two of his teammates, is heading to northern
India for the premiere of the Indian edition of “Following JESUS” - the follow-up video
series that he has been producing for the last year. You will remember that he has already been to India twice—once last February to meet with the Campus Crusade staff in India to create the outline for the videos and again for two weeks in October to actually film the videos. Well, after months of editing and working with the film studio in Mumbai, the videos are finally ready to be released! Praise the Lord!

In some ways, this trip is even more exciting than the last two trips! Eric will spend 2 weeks touring around northern India (see the map at the right) with our Campus Crusade staff, hosting 8 separate video premieres. At each premiere, there will be between 50-100 pastors and Christian leaders from many Christian agencies that work in India.

The plan is to expose these 400-800 leaders to the video series and make it available for them to use within their ministry. We are so excited and humbled at the chance to be involved in a project that has a scope of this magnitude. It is only by His grace that we have been able to produce a product like this over the past few years. To be a part of this project has truly been a blessing.

As Eric plans for this trip, he knows that this is only the beginning of his work in India. The plan is to lip-sync the video series into about 20 other Indian languages over the next year or two, making the lessons available to millions throughout India. In addition, he has already begun working on the second version of “Following JESUS” for India—one that will teach more in-depth topics and prepare new believers to further be witnesses for Jesus in a land that worships countless gods and goddesses. Please continue to lift up Eric and his team as they work on this next version for India, as well as versions for Africa, Latin America, the Middle East and beyond. We look forward to sharing the results of this trip with you next month!

We have included a calendar of the trip on the back and ask that you join us in prayer for the trip and for the premieres. Please pray for the pastors and leaders who are coming to each premiere—that they will be able to arrive safely and be blessed by the time together. Pray for our staff in India—that they will be strengthened and be able to continue to fight the good fight, bringing His message and Word to over 1 billion souls. Please pray for the new believers who will see these videos –pray that the Lord uses these videos to ground them in the principles that are taught and that they will go out into their villages to share the Good News of Christ with others.
